Overview

The Hold tool extends the current tangent along a straight section. The existing inclination and azimuth remain constant.

Choose Hold.
Select whether to hold to Course Length, Measured Depth, TVD, or Vertical Section.
Enter the requested value and choose Calculate.
Verify the endpoint, especially when the current inclination makes a TVD-based hold very long or infeasible.
