Create and Export a Directional Report

Configure a directional report, review its survey stations and reference data, and create the report output.

Open planner

Open the report setup

Select the well and design to report, then choose Reports → Create Directional Report. The report configuration opens for the current design.

Configure the contents

Review the displayed company/project/pad/well identity and choose the survey columns, station spacing, and available additions such as targets, formation tops, and annotations. Verify your selected engineering units and north-reference presentation.

Check surface location, ground/RKB elevations, TVD reference, and the stated magnetic model before exporting a report for another engineer.

Preview and export

  1. Preview the report.
  2. Check the first station, key section boundaries, final MD and TVD, and final inclination and azimuth.
  3. Confirm that the correct design and current data are shown.
  4. Use the report's export/download control to save the PDF.

Other export options

The top Reports menu also includes Create AC Report, Create Wall Plot, and Create Survey Export. These are different outputs: use the directional report for a formatted trajectory summary, the AC report for offset clearance, a Wall Plot for a configured visual page, and the survey export for tabular interchange.

Check before sharing: An exported file records the selected design at the time it is generated. Recreate it after material changes to stations, references, or targets.
