• Engineering and workspace data: company, project, pad/site, well, wellbore, design, survey, target, formation, polygon/polyline, coordinate/reference-system, magnetics, anti-collision, casing, and related workspace information that you enter, import, upload, generate, or save.
• Uploaded or imported information: files or data you submit for supported import, analysis, conversion, reporting, or interoperability features.
• Support and feedback information: messages, bug reports, suggestions, and other communications you send to us.
• Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, operating system, log data, timestamps, error information, security events, and usage activity.

2. Cookies, Sessions, and Analytics

DirectionalPlan may use cookies, session identifiers, local browser storage, and similar technologies that are necessary to authenticate users, maintain sessions, preserve preferences, protect the Service, and support application functionality.

DirectionalPlan uses third-party providers to operate portions of the Service. Depending on the feature, these may include providers for hosting, transactional email, domain/email services, bot protection, analytics, mapping, infrastructure, and other technical functions.

Current examples include Render for hosting, Resend for transactional email, Namecheap for domain/email services, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection, and Google Analytics for website analytics. These providers may process limited information as necessary to provide their services and under their own privacy terms.

6. Engineering and Customer Data

Your engineering data may contain commercially sensitive or proprietary information. DirectionalPlan uses that information to provide the features you request and to operate, maintain, secure, and support the Service.

You are responsible for determining whether you have authority to upload or process company, client, partner, well, survey, or other third-party data through the Service.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect account and service data. However, no online service, storage system, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain account, workspace, engineering, support, security, and operational information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, maintain records, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, whether an account remains active, backup practices, legal requirements, and operational needs.

9. Your Choices and Requests

You may contact us to request help with your account, ask privacy questions, correct account information, or request deletion of your account or certain information. Some records may need to be retained when required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or legitimate business records.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.
