Not a Substitute for Professional Judgment

DirectionalPlan is software intended to support directional well planning, survey management and analysis, anti-collision review, visualization, reporting, data interoperability, and related engineering workflows.

DirectionalPlan does not provide engineering approval, certification, operational authorization, or a substitute for decisions made by qualified personnel with access to the complete operational context.

All well plans, survey data, anti-collision results, separation factor results, center-to-center distances, uncertainty values, coordinate transformations, casing information, reports, exports, and visualizations must be independently reviewed and verified before operational use.

Calculation and Data Responsibility

Results depend on the accuracy, completeness, suitability, units, reference systems, assumptions, configuration, and quality of user-provided or third-party data, including but not limited to:

• Survey stations and survey quality.
• Well names, wellbore relationships, sidetracks, and tie-in information.
• Tool codes, survey programs, error models, uncertainty models, and associated parameters.
• Magnetic models, declination, convergence, reference systems, datums, and coordinate reference systems.
• Ground level, RKB, datum, TVD, MD, northing/easting, latitude/longitude, and unit-system inputs.
• Offset-well, casing, formation, target, lease, polygon/polyline, and other imported or entered data.
• Third-party file formats, metadata, software behavior, and interoperability assumptions.

Incorrect, incomplete, stale, mismatched, corrupted, or improperly interpreted input data may produce incorrect or misleading outputs.

Anti-Collision Warning

Anti-collision analysis depends on uncertainty modeling, survey quality, tool program assumptions, offset data quality, scan configuration, company policy, operational context, and engineering interpretation.

DirectionalPlan does not guarantee that a well plan is safe to drill, collision-free, compliant with a particular company's standards, or compliant with regulatory requirements.

Any anti-collision result, alert, separation factor, center-to-center distance, ellipse, or related output must be independently reviewed by qualified personnel before operational use.

Survey Corrections and Uncertainty

Survey correction, uncertainty, and sensor-analysis features may involve statistical models, assumptions, uploaded error models, reference values, and other user-selected inputs. Results are estimates and should not be treated as independently certified survey corrections or definitive wellbore position.

Imports, Exports, and Third-Party Interoperability

DirectionalPlan may import from, export to, or interoperate with third-party software and file formats. Differences in software versions, data models, calculation methods, units, coordinate systems, metadata, unsupported features, or vendor behavior can produce differences between systems.

Users are responsible for validating imported and exported data in both the source and destination systems before operational use.

DirectionalPlan LLC is an independent company and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Halliburton or Landmark. COMPASS and EDM are Halliburton/Landmark product names and marks. Other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

No Operational Guarantee

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DirectionalPlan LLC makes no guarantee that calculations, analyses, plots, reports, imports, exports, coordinate transformations, availability, or other outputs are accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, compliant, or fit for any specific operational purpose.

User Responsibility

By using DirectionalPlan, you accept responsibility for evaluating the suitability of the Service for your intended use, verifying all relevant inputs and outputs, applying your organization's procedures and applicable regulations, and obtaining any required independent review or approval.
